The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) launches its new website

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) launched its new website during the meeting organized on the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day under Slogan: “Improving innovation for civil aviation development” on the 7th of December which goes in line with the CAA digital transformation project. The new website was inaugurated by His Highness Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi - Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Naif bin Ali Al Abri - President of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in addition to their Excellencies and CEOs from the strategic partners of the Civil Aviation sector.
The development of the website comes in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 in implementing the digital transformation plan and achieving the best experiences out of the current and future technological development in the contemporary world.
The new website aims to facilitate the process of browsing and accessing information, improve the experience of visitors and users of the website and listen to their opinions and suggestions.
The website contains law and regulations, public open data, media releases, electronic forms, traveler rights and duties, frequently asked questions and a complaints feature. The website also provides a number of E-services. It also provides a public open data in terms of statistics related to the airports of the Sultanate of Oman such as passenger traffic, aircraft movement and air cargo volume.
His Excellency Eng. Naif bin Ali Al Abri - president of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) during the inauguration stated that: “In the framework of developing the CAA’s work and in order to strengthening its relationship with the public, beneficiaries and keeping pace with Oman Vision 2040 that related to the government’s program for digital transformation, we launching the new website of the CAA affirming our commitment to the standards and indicators adopted by the government by implementing the user experience and digital accessibility were the most prominent of achievement, with ambitious of facilitating the use of all CAA’s E-services by next year, in God willing.” His Excellency added: "We are continuing to complete the digital transformation process through various programs and electronic systems, enabling the relevant beneficiaries to benefit from the E-services provided to them."
It is worth noting that digital transformation is one of the necessities for all government and private institutions which believes in the importance of continuous development and improvement of their administrative functions and services which they provide.
