Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, participates in the 28th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization.
Oman, represented by its Civil Aviation Authority, took part in the 28th session of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization's General Assembly in Rabat from July 3-4, 2024. This participation aims to strengthen collaborative Arab efforts across all aspects of civil aviation.
Engineer Naif bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, reaffirmed during his speech at the meeting Oman's commitment to the principles and initiatives of the organization. He emphasized Oman's dedication to supporting efforts that enhance the collective Arab framework for excellence in civil aviation.
He also emphasized in his speech that Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, has achieved unprecedented achievements in this sector, especially in legislation, oversight of aviation safety and security, and environmental sustainability.
During the meeting, Oman's membership in the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization was renewed, as well as its membership in the Air Transport Committee and the Environment Committee.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Civil Aviation Authority signed a cooperation meeting minutes with the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia, covering: national strategies for civil aviation, air transport and opportunities to increase airline operating rights, economic regulation and passenger rights protection, air navigation and development of the Omani/Saudi airspace.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Engineer Naif Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, held a bilateral meeting with a delegation from the Republic of South Korea, aimed at exploring prospects for bilateral cooperation in various sectors of the aviation industry.
