The Sixth Meeting of the Aerodrome Safety, Planning, and Implementation Group Launches Tomorrow
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, will host the Sixth Meeting of the Aerodrome Safety, Planningand Implementation Group (ASPIG/6) from May 27 to 29, 2024, at the Civil Aviation Authority headquarters. The meeting will see participation from 10 countries in the region and 3 international organizations, to discuss 23 papers.
The meeting aims to implement the safety and air navigation objectives outlined in the Middle East Air Navigation Safety Strategies, in alignment with the Global Aviation Safety Plan and the Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP).
This meeting is part of the Aerodrome Safety, Planning, and Implementation Group (ASPIG) activities, under the ICAO Regional Office in Cairo. ASPIG was established to develop and implement safety initiatives, capabilities, and efficiencies related to airport safety. Its scope includes airport planning and design, airport certification, and airport safety management systems.
