The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, at the 14th Air Navigation Conference.
Under the theme "Performance Improvement Drives Sustainability,"the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority,is participating in the 14th Air Navigation Conference organizedby the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Theconference aims to achieve global consensus on performance improvement initiatives to support member states and manufacturers in addressing global challenges amidst limited resources and rapidadvancements in aviation activities and technologies. The event istaking place from August 26 to September 6, 2024.
The conference is attended by officials and decision-makers frommember states, as well as experts in the fields of safety and airnavigation. It includes technical discussions aimed at formulatingseveral recommendations that will be presented to the ICAOCouncil for approval during the 42nd General Assembly scheduled for 2025.
It is worth noting that through its participation in this conference,the Sultanate of Oman aims to strengthen its strategic partnershipswith leading countries and international organizations in the field ofcivil aviation. Oman seeks to collaborate with nations worldwide to identify new priorities for the future work of civil aviation and contribute to setting directions that ensure the safety and efficiencyof international air navigation, with a focus on achieving the ambitious long-term goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.This participation reaffirms Oman’s commitment to activelycontributing to the development of the global civil aviation sectorand enhancing sustainability and safety in this vital industry.
